Thursday & Friday

Thursday: We had a pajama day but it wasn't very lazy. We watched some cartoons, then we changed the sheets on my bed, then we watched a movie and folded laundry at the same time. Hannah colored, played with her toys, played games at PBSKids.org, and tormented the dog.

Friday: I worked today. Hannah rode her scooter at Papa's and played outside for a while. She had a nap with Momo and got to play some more with Nate. We went to Scheels later in the afternoon and bought some snow pants for me ($35-ish on sale!!) and then we ran to Target for some sundries. Hannah was a big helper, again, and helped carry the hand basket through half an aisle then one of the lighter bags to the car.

Hannnah Dunking like a doughnut

Today Hannah and I went to swim class. Normally she hates putting her head underwater, but lately she is OK with doing it more and more.

Wednesday

I worked today. Hannah brought her scooter to ride at Papa's. She was napping when I got there. Momo taught me how to use the Mini Sewing Machine that Nana gave us and we made a T-shirt tote bag for her from one of Brad's old shirts. Hannah didn't have an interest in sewing but she drew pictures on the bag with some markers. We came home and had a quick snack before Brad got home and took Hannah to swim lessons.

Tuesday

We slept in. Watched cartoons. Went swimming at the rec center pool for toddler time. We met our friends, The Boettchers, at Alf Sorensen's for some time in the tot pool. There weren't very many people there at all so Hannah and Sonja had a lot of room to paddle and splash around. Hannah dunked herself under water all by her self several times. It was a very big achievement. We ended up having a late lunch then a late nap. Hannah asked to play with her Thomas the Tank Engine Trackmaster set so we set that up and she played with it for a very long time.

Hannah-ism

In case you don't follow me on Twitter, which is fine if you don't, but just in case you missed this, I thought I'd share:

"Why do the friends call the cat Pete?"
"What friends?"
"Pete's friends."
"Who?"
"The one named Pete."
"I'm not sure where we go from here."

Monday

I worked today. Hannah went with her grandparents to Costco and Wal-Mart. She told Momo and Papa, very excitedly, that "they have Samples here!" when they got to Costco. She napped for them then played with Nathan for a bit before I took her home. We came home and had a little snack and a movie then went to swim lessons. It was just Hannah and one other boy so they got a lot of teaching and learning time in. Hannah did really well kicking and doing Big Arms.

For one night only!

Tonight at the Pirate Ship: Canyon White featuring special guest, Hannah!

Friday

I worked today. Hannah napped for a couple of hours with Papa which made the afternoon quite pleasant. Papa helped us pick up my new rolling kitchen island cart at Ace Hardware this afternoon. They had fun saying hello to Jerry, the toucan.

Wednesday & Thursday

Wednesday: I had trouble getting out of bed but that was made better by Papa dropping off an apple fritter on his way home from dropping Nate off at school. Hannah had doughnuts at his house for breakfast. She was very excited about that. After work, I picked up Hannah and we came home to watch some cartoons and rest. Then, we played with some flash cards until Brad got home.

Thursday: Pajama day! Well, half of the day anyway. We slept in until after 9 a.m. and it felt so good! Hannah said she likes sleeping until after the sun comes up. Me, too, kiddo! We lounged for a while. Hannah played on her ClickStart computer while I did a bit of laundry, then we got dressed and took the dog for a walk in the sunshine with Hannah on her tricycle. We walked past the ice cream van (yes, really) but I hadn't brought any cash with me. Hannah still had to look at all of the choices before moving on. The lady in the van gave her a lollipop even though I didn't have any money. That was very nice of her. Hannah hollered a "thank you" as she rode away. We played at the playground for a bit then came home before it was overrun by kids getting out of school. Hannah colored on recycled paper for the longest time then asked to watch a movie.

Tuesday

Hannah went with me to the salon so I could get my hair cut. She waited very well. Then we came home for lunch and got a few chores done. We were listening to some Disney music on Pandora Radio and Hannah kept noticing the Lion King songs and asked to watch the movie. Papa dropped Nathan Nephew (12) off after school because Hannah asked if her cousin could do his homework at our house today. They played with Legos for a while. Nate is so good with Hannah and plays with her extremely well. Hannah would sing "Nants ingonyama!" from "The Circle of Life" song and Nate would answer "Ricola!" We went to the grocery store and both kids were a big help in the shopping. Nate even helped carry the groceries in from the car. My only complaint is that Nate pointed out the Twinkies then expressed ultimate shock that I hadn't introduced Hostess products to Hannah yet. He's right. I'm a horrible mother for keeping the sugar-devil, Hostess, away from the kid. So, I bought a box of Twinkies and a box of Ho-hos. (Brad's waistline be damned, ha ha!)
